Since obtaining her PharmD, Farfone has practiced in community retail pharmacy for over 30 years. After graduating, she began working in chain and independent pharmacies. In 2012, Farfone and her husband, Scott, opened Dottie's Pharmacy in Charleston, SC, which specializes in pharmaceutical therapies such as oncology, Hepatitis C, and biologics and offers traditional pharmacy services, including all aspects of compounding. Dottie's Pharmacy was the first nationally-accredited specialty pharmacy in Charleston and is permitted along the South Atlantic seaboard from Florida to Virginia. Currently, the pharmacy is one of only six pharmacies in the state of South Carolina that has Specialty Pharmacy Accreditation by the Utilization Review Accreditation Commission.
